Echoes of mystical voices.  Treasures of ancient civilizations.  The vitality of cultural tradition in the modern age.  In the heart of it all is Sacred Heart University's Center for Irish Cultural Studies.  Through this one-of-a-kind program students experience first-hand Ireland's culture and traditions.

Your presence on the site indicates that you have an interest in our program. You may be an undergraduate student, a parent of a prospective student, a study abroad advisor, or you may be interested in our newly developed adult program.

While exploring our  programs, you'll find information on the courses available, our unique location in Ireland, the exciting activities that we offer, our dedicated faculty, and many other relevant elements. In addition you will be provided with information on how to apply for the program.

We know that prospective students are most interested in hearing what past SHU in Ireland students have to say about the experience.  Therefore wherever possible we've included use comments from these students in describing various elements of the program. These comments were collected from evaluation forms that the students completed at the end of their stay in Dingle.

Enjoy your exploration of the SHU in Ireland programs!

I had such an amazing time in Ireland and would go back in a heartbeat! My experience there simply could not have happened here in the U.S. not only culturally but emotionally and physically as well! From kayaking in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, climbing the second highest moutain in Ireland, and immersing myself in the greenery of Ireland- the pictures just don't do Ireland justice.
