Application: Short-term Programs

To apply to the SHU in Ireland program, please complete the following four steps.

1.  Complete all fields of the below online application.  Print a copy of the application for your records before submitting.  After printing, click the Submit button to submit your application.

2.  Print a copy of the SHU in Ireland Recommendation Form for completion by a professor.  Please follow the instructions to have the form mailed by your professor.  **Please note that if your GPA is under a 2.8 you must submit two Recommendation Forms to complete your application.**

3.  Print a copy of the Statement of Good Standing Form for completion by your Dean of Students. Please follow the instructions to have the form mailed by the Dean of Students.

4.  Send transcript to Deanna Fiorentino, Sacred Heart University Center for Irish Cultural Studies, 5151 Park Avenue, Fairfield, CT 06825.  [Sacred Heart University students may submit an unofficial copy of their transcript from Web Advisor (copy and paste the transcript from Web Advisor into an email to irishstudies@sacredheart.edu).]

For January Term and May Term Students: Each course offered must meet a minimum student enrollment number in order to run. Some courses also have cap on the maximum number of students. You are asked to indicate your courses of interest in order of your preference. At the time you enroll, if a course will not run or if it is already full you will be notified and you will be transferred to your next choice course.
